Archie Moore's career record is 185-23-10 (131) according to Boxrec.com. He fought well in to his 40's, about 46 (*his date of birth is a guesstimate). Most fighters, regardless of age, have most of their losses at the end of their career which is part of the reason why they give up the fight game. In Moore's case, with over 200 fights, his record in his last 102 fights (about half) was 92-7-3 (62). The Ole Mongoose called...he wanted to know how you like them apples?
tonight Lucien Bute and Glen Johnson fight for Bute's IBF Super Middlweight title. Johnson's deceiving record is 51-15-2 (35). Many believe as many as SIX of those losses and both draws fall under the category of "home cookin'"? so instead of 51-15-2, his record could be 59-9. regardless, this is his 10th contest for a major world title.
When Wladmir Klitschko defends his title on April 30th against Derrick Chisora, it will his his 12th defense of the title and April 22nd will be year #5 as champ!

How is it that Sergio Martinez is getting paid approximately $1,000,000 after his sensational KO of Paul Williams but Sergei Dzinzurik is getting $850,000...and for why? PS Andre Berto got over $900,000 in his last fight...bogus. No wonder why everyone is leaving HBO. Yeah they pay well but they don't spend it well. Berto should've gotten half of what he got and Martinez, one of the hottest fighters winning all kinds of awards now should be getting twice as much!
Evander Holyfield - 43-11-2-1 (28) = 57 professional fights. check this out - his first 28 fights his record was 28-0 (22). His last 29 fights, his record has been 15-11-2-1 with 6 ko's. that's awful...
